Residing In The City Of Palm Bay FL
The City of Palm Bay nestled in the southern part of the county of Brevard in Florida recently passed the 100K mark in population back in July 2008. For a town that spent most of the last 80 some years as a small little enclave in Florida, it is hard to believe it is now the the largest city population wise in Brevard County. Palm Bay Florida received its current name in the 1920’s after the palm trees that surrounded the mouth of Turkey Creek as it meets the Indian River.
Beginning in the 1920’s till 1959, Palm Bay remained small and unnoticed, but in 1959 a large developer purchased large tracts of land near the river and started to build the largest development in the county. Right after that began the current trend that made Palm Bay what it is right now. Now, amongst the many developments you can choose to build a home in, you can also find one of several Palm Bay apartments in various areas throughout the city. With a ever increasing population Palm Bay is no longer the small country town it once was.
