A Few Advisements for Switching Over Baby Crib Bedding as Your Little Angel Grows

While purchasing crib bedding is generally a simple process, there are a few safety guidelines that you should understand. Several child safety organizations have issued recommendations for the selection and use of crib bedding. Baby bedding manufactures follow many guidelines to assure the safety of your baby.

These recommendations advise that a baby should sleep on his or her back with no soft or loose bedding in the crib. Even though stuffed toys, pillows, quilts and comforters may look cute, soft bedding items such as these shouldn’t be in cribs with infants. Only a mattress covered with fitted sheets in the crib should be adhered to. A blanket may be used in the crib, but should be tucked in firmly at the foot of the bed and reach no farther than the baby’s chest.
