ZINK stands for Zero Ink
ZINK stands for Zero Ink. This technology is truly ink-less. It uses a heated head inside the printer to activate the dye that is embedded in the special ZINK paper. No ink cartridges or ribbons are contained within the printer that needs to be replaced. Perhaps the most innovative aspect of this very compact digital camera printer is that images can be sent to it via a Bluetooth device such as a cell phone. Reviews for this piece of breakthrough technology on sites like Digital Camera Printer Review are, for the most part, unfavorable, however. With the exception of the paper and wireless technology, reviewers did not give a thumbs-up due to the print quality that has been described as inconsistent. The photographs are also tiny, only measuring 2 X 3 in size. The size is a result of the printer itself being the size of an I-Pod. ~ ZINK Technology And The Digital Camera Printer
