Roadside cameras are being employed at accident blackspots on two busy Bristol roads. They are not speed cameras although they record the number plate of each passing vehicle and the evidence they record can be used by police to prosecute in the case of a motoring offence. They are linked to a central control room where operators can monitor the pictures.
